1990
The founder of the company Opal d.o.o., Edo Cof and Marija Ravnik, a renowned lecturer and manager of a successful accounting service, combine their vision of creating program solutions for easier and more effective business managing. The first module was created – Salaries.

1997
The company grows slowly yet persistently and has four regular employees taking care of development, introduction and client support on four modules (merchandise bookkeeping, general resources, salaries t.i. the then so-called personal incomes and financial bookkeeping).

1999
The arrival of VAT brings a change to the organization of work in the company. Development and client support are separated, due to the complexity and increased dimension into two parts – financial and merchandise.

2002
The company achieves an important milestone in its progress when it transfers all modules from the then operating system DOS to the operating system Windows.

2004
Due to its constant growth the old business premises was too small and from our own resources new business premises are built.

2008
From the long term business partner HSP d.o.o., the Opal company buys the module for tracking production, called ZIP. It gradually starts to implement the acquired knowledge and experience in the OpPIS.

2009
With the renewal of an existing application the company reaches an important milestone – the possibility of on-line access to data with the OpPIS Client; the application is installed enabling access to data whenever and from anywhere.

2013
OpPIS starts to expand to foreign markets and covers the legislation of countries such as Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2015
Opal is a family company. In the year 2015 the second generation has successfully actively joined in the management of the company.
